Ride tips
Short and friendly. Check the feels-like temperature, not the plain one.
What to wear
Feels like 15°C or above: shorts and a short jersey.
Below 15°C, dress warmer:
- 10-15°C: arm warmers, leg or knee warmers, light vest
- 5-10°C: long bib tights, long-sleeve jersey, jacket, thin gloves
- Under 5°C: thermal layers, winter gloves, overshoes, cap under the helmet
Rain or wind? Take a light rain jacket. Wind makes it feel colder, which is why we look at feels-like.
Before you go
- Bring 1-2 bottles and something to eat on anything over 50 km.
- Check tyre pressure and brakes. We will show you at pickup.
- Download the route first so it works offline.
- Bring a phone, a card and a lock for coffee stops.
- Bring a spare tube. We can show you how to change it.
- Tell someone your route and when you expect to be back.
- Check the sunset time and plan to be back before dark.
On the road
- On bike paths keep right, ring your bell to pass, and watch for tram tracks and wet cobbles.
- Ride single file on narrow dike roads.
- Eat before you are hungry, drink before you are thirsty.
